PhD in Economics and Business Studies: Entrepreneurship, from the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Maria lectures in entrepreneurship and business startup at the same university. LP and Executive Director of GEM (Global Entrepreneurship Monitor) Basque Country, of which she has been a founding researcher since 2004. Member of the GEM Spain Steering Committee; Treasurer and Chair of the Basque Entrepreneurship Observatory (EEB‐OVE). Director of the Master’s Degree in Entrepreneurship and Business Management (MBAe3) of the UPV/EHU. Lead Researcher (IP) in the ECISE: Circular Economy, Innovation, Sustainability and Entrepreneurship Research Group.
