Maite Cidad graduated as Chemical Engineer from the University of the Basque Country in 2013 and has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Pollution and Toxicology in 2014. She is a member of the research team that has developed Envirodigital, environmental management software, and Enviroscore, an environmental communication system for food and beverage products. She is a researcher in the AZTI Efficient and Sustainable Processes Department.
Maite has experience in producing the environmental footprints of food products and diets using Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and Product Environmental Footprint (PEF) methodologies in order to ecodesign new food products and diets and/or minimize the environmental impact of the food value chain. Furthermore, her work is focused on developing ad hoc multicriteria software tools and prototypes to implement, calculate, check and the effective communication of the environmental footprint of food products.
