Juncal graduated in psychology from Salamanca University and specialised in Local Development at the Industrial Organisation School of Madrid (EOI).
Juncal’s career has always been linked to local development, where she has held different posts and levels of responsibility. She started out as a Local Development Officer at Legazpi Local Council, but most of her career has been at Vitoria-Gasteiz City Council, where she has always worked in local development and held different posts of responsibility (Head of the Employment Service, Head of the Training Service, Director of the Sustainable Economic Development Department…).
Over the years, Juncal has been involved in public forums and worked with the University of the Basque Country on programmes, conferences and courses related to local development from different fields (circular economy, social entrepreneurship, corporate citizen, etc.).
She currently heads the Business Service of the Economic Promotion Department, and has co-led the ‘2030 Strategy to drive the circular economy of Vitoria-Gasteiz’.
