Dani Justel graduated as a mechanical technical engineer, majoring in machinery design (1996), has a degree in industrial organisation engineering (2002), and he earned his PhD in 2009 from the Jaume I University in Castello; he is a member of the management board of the ACLIMA cluster. Since 1996, he has been a lecturer in the Mechanics and Industrial Production Department and is a researcher in the Industrial Sustainability and the Circular Economy (ECSI) group of the Polytechnic School at Mondragon University. His research and knowledge transfer at the ECSI are focused on researching the circular economy and environmental sustainability from the perspective of industrial design (design focused on people – stakeholders – ecodesign, ecoinnovation, services design and ecoefficiency). Dani has supervised 6 PhD dissertations in the field of the circular economy and actively works with companies to drive environmental sustainability, including: MONDRAGON, Orona, FAGOR Group, ULMA Group, Goizper, Irizar, Tecnalia, etc.
