Damien Sallé has a PhD in Robotics from the Pierre et Marie Curie University of Paris and he wrote his dissertation on robotics for minimally invasive surgery. He worked for Robosoft, the French service robotics SME, as project director and manager of the R&D Department, where he was part of the development of over 10 robot models and 70 applications, from companion robots to surveillance vehicles for the army.
In 2010, he joined TECNALIA where he is Project Director and coordinator of the Flexible Automation and robotics activities. In 2022, he received the award from BRTA and the Basque Government for his ‘Outstanding Research Career’.
