Arantza Madariaga graduated in Law. Since 2016, she has been the Director of Elika – Basque Foundation for Agri-food Safety, coming under the Basque Government’s Department for Food, Rural Development, Agriculture and Fisheries. She heads the Basque anti-food waste strategy. She has been a lecturer on the Master’s Degree in the Circular Economy at the University of the Basque Country (UPV) since 2021.
Arantza has been a speaker at congresses, events and conferences in the Basque Country and internationally on food safety, circular food and the sustainability of the Basque food chain.
