Amaia Ortiz de Elguea graduated in Environmental Science from the University of the Basque Country and then went on to study there for a Master’s Degree in Biodiversity, Functioning and Management of Ecosystems. After working in several environment-related areas – such as environmental education of urban sustainability, where she was in the European office of ICLEI in Freiburg (Germany) – she began to work as an environmental technician at Uvesco. Amaia is currently the organisation’s sustainability manager, where she manages different areas related to Corporate Social Responsibility in addition of her environmental remit.
