Alejandro Dorado graduated in Biological Science from the Complutense University of Madrid and has a Master’s Degree in Diplomacy and International Relations from the Diplomatic School of Spain. He has also completed courses on the European Union at the Diplomatic School and on Environmental Legislation at the UNED (Spanish Open University).
Alejandro was an advisor at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, European Union and Cooperation. He previously held the post of Regional Minister for Sustainability and the Ecological Transition and spokesperson for the Government of La Rioja. He has also worked as a consultant in different African countries (Tanzania, Mozambique, Benin, Cape Verde, Guinea and Sierra Leone) Between 2008 and 2012, Alejandro worked as a cooperation technician for the Spanish Agency for International Development Cooperation (AECID) at the Spanish embassies in Mali and in Brazil, and at the Agency’s headquarters for Ethiopia, Sudan and South Sudan. He has worked with organisations such as UNESCO and the Biodiversity Foundation.
