Aitor Saez de Cortazar graduated in Biological Sciences from Salamanca University and has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering from the University of the Basque Country.
Since 1999, he has been working as a project technician in Ecoinnovation and the Circular Economy at Ihobe. Aitor has worked on designing, implementing and managing initiatives such as Ihobe Service (environmental consultancy hotline for companies and citizens), the Ihobe Environmental Observatory (environmental technology watch and monitoring service), designing and deployment eco-innovation mechanisms and instruments, demonstration projects in eco-innovation and the Circular Economy, support, technical and legal instruments, and publications in the areas of: waste management (particularly CDW), sustainable building, industrialised construction and circularity of construction materials, along with green public procurement criteria and associated instruments in constructions works.
