PhD in Chemical Sciences and is a Tenured Professor of the Department of Chemical Engineering and the Environment at the University of the Basque Country (UPV/EHU). Blanca lectures and researches at the Bilbao School of Engineering, and is a member of the high-performance Sustainable Process Engineering (SuPrEn) research group of the Basque university system. Her research area is focused on the recycling and reuse of municipal and industrial waste using thermal treatments. Blanca has taken part in 25 research projects and different contracts with companies, and has published 55 articles in high impact international journals.
