For over 20 years, Laida San Sebastian has been starting and managing companies in contact with the entrepreneurial ecosystem, fundamentally in the Basque Country, but also in the Spanish State and Europe. She knows the support mechanisms as she has first-hand experience and because she has changed her role in the last 5 years, from entrepreneur and business manager to agent of the entrepreneurship support ecosystem. Specifically, by means of training entrepreneurs at Mondragon University (LEINN, first official university degree in Innovation and Entrepreneurship, and MGEP, polytechnic school of the same university). Laida is an Industrial Organisation Engineer and has a PhD in Psychology. She is the strategy leader in her role as the Technological Entrepreneurship Coordinator at the School of Engineering at Mondragon University, to drive the new HIREKIN Sustainable Technological Entrepreneurship Centre. She mentors startups and is leader of the team leading the bolstering of the Debagoiena entrepreneurial ecosystem, along with other stakeholders (Saiolan, Galbaian, Garaia PT…). Every year, she mentors dozens of companies, attracts thousands of euros to support technological entrepreneurship and experiences the lack of a shared methodology based on scientific knowledge.
