Carolina Mejia Niño graduated as an Architect from Los Andes University, with an MSc in Urban Planning and Sustainability; she has an MSc in Urban Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and an MSc in Business Innovation and Project Management from Mondragon University.
Since 2016, Carolina has been the Senior Innovation Project Manager at MONDRAGON Corporation, heading R&D initiatives in the Circular Economy, Industry 4.0 and Smart Cities. Drawing on her strong track record in developing business models, she created MONDREX, a methodology that streamlines the exploitation of R&D results, thus accelerating the take up of technologies. Furthermore, she is a driving force behind the MONDRAGON Environmental Forum, which foster sustainability-oriented innovation.
Carolina is an expert in Capacity Building, Strategic Innovation and Technology Transfer.
