Patxi Greño (Partner and Head Economist, Metroeconomica). Patxi Greño is an environmental economist with over twenty years’ experience in research and consultancy in the area of designing and analysing environmental public policies. He has a Master’s Degree in Environmental Economics from York University in the United Kingdom. Patxi has worked for regional, national and international institutions, such as the Inter-American Development Bank, the World Bank, the United Nations, European Commission, the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, and IHOBE. He has recently been involved in green/climate finance and environmental taxation projects, where he has been involved in defining methodologies to prepare green public budgets, restructuring tax policies aligned to the international environmental agendas and the alignment of business activity with the European taxonomy of sustainable activities.
