David Hernández Simón graduated in Law and has since worked in the legal profession, teaching and Integrated Management Systems, particularly in the areas of safety, quality and the environment.
His career started at Vicinay Cadenas in 2008 in the Health and Safety Division. He subsequently moved to the Environmental Department, where he began to work on the lifecycle assessments leading to the certification and publication of the different Type III Ecolabels (Environmental Product Declarations) for the whole Vicinay product range, which was the first company of its sector to do so.
In 2012, he became Head of the Integrated Management Systems Division (Quality, Safety and the Environment) until the company moved to its new Sestao premises.
David is currently a member of the Basque Ecodesign Center Management Committee.
