Ismael is the Partner in charge of Environment and Climate at PwC Tax&Legal Spain. He provides customers from different sectors with support to address the challenges of environmental regulations. He is the PWC Global Sustainability Legal Lead.
Prior to joining PWC, he was the Director General for Quality and Environmental Assessment at the Spanish Ministry for the Ecological Transition, where his remit included environmental assessment, air quality and pollution control, and the circular economy policies. Ismael also spent more than a decade working on climate change in Spain and for the European Commission.
Ismael Aznar graduated in Law, majoring in Community Law, and has a degree in Geography and History. He is a member of the Senior Corps of Civil Administrators of the State.
