Senior Researcher and Coordinator of Orkestra’s Energy and Environment Lab since March 2018, with more than 20 years of experience in the energy sector.
PhD and MA in Economics from Georgetown University (Washington DC, USA) and BA in Economics (Universidad Autónoma de Madrid).
At Orkestra, he works on research projects related to energy transition processes, smart grids, energy taxation and green finance, sustainable mobility, design, regulation and operation of energy markets, energy efficiency, energy storage and the transition to an environmentally sustainable and competitive economy.
Before joining Orkestra, he worked for 6 years as the Technical Director at Iberian Gas Hub (project for the development of a natural gas hub in the Iberian Peninsula).
He was Associate Director for 8 years at Intermoney Energía, a consultancy firm specialising in energy markets, energy trading, risk management, modelling and energy forecasting (demand, prices, etc.).
He previously worked as a Consultant at NERA Economic Consulting for 6 years, specialising in energy regulation, risk management, market design and energy tariffs, etc.
He has published articles and book chapters in academic and energy sector journals and has extensive experience as a speaker at conferences and events in the energy sector.
