Graduate in Sciences, specialised in chemistry from the University of the Basque Country.

After completing my training period at Wageningen University of Agriculture (Netherlands) and at the GAIKER technology centre, I joined the IHOBE soil team, which, at that time, in the early 1990s, was starting to draw up the first contaminated soil plan.

Since then, my work has focused on the design and deployment of public policies and instruments, initially focusing on this area and recently extended to the comprehensive protection of this resource, following the approval of the Basque Country Soil Protection Strategy 2030.
