Head of the Monitoring Specialisation Team - Ikerlan

Urko Leturiondo was born in 1989 in Vitoria-Gasteiz. He holds a degree in Industrial Engineering, specialising in Mechanics and Industrial Design, from Tecnun – School of Engineering of the University of Navarra (2012) and a PhD from LuleĆ„ University of Technology (2016).

In 2012, he joined the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Ikerlan as a PhD student, conducting his research on bearing condition monitoring, working with the Division of Operation and Maintenance Engineering at LuleƄ University of Technology.

From 2016 to 2019, he worked as a researcher in the Control and Monitoring Area of Ikerlan.

He has led the Ikerlan Monitoring specialisation team since 2019.

His current research interests include mechatronic systems monitoring, data analytics and asset management, with the aim of achieving more reliable, optimised and sustainable products and processes.

He has published over 10 articles in indexed journals and has presented more than 10 papers at international conferences.
